• KidSport is a National Not-for-profitorganization

• Provides grants to 18 and younger kids families facing financial barriers so they can participate in registered programs.

Who is eligible to receive a KidSport grant?  

- Families that are receiving the Alberta Child and Family Benefit are eligible. 

- KidSport considers social and economic barriers facing the child's family when determining eligibility. 

• Grants are intended to be used for sport registration fees.

• If equipment is required, KidSport will make a referral to a partner agency.

• Any fundraising KidSport Lac La Biche does, stays in our community.

• KidSport Lac La Biche has been around for approximately 15 years.

• Typically, in a year, KidSport has helped 150 kids.

• To date the major fundraiser has been the bottle drives, with other smaller local fundraising events.

• KidSport Lac La Biche is made up of a small group of volunteers and are always recruiting interested partners.  Contact us if you are interested in joining the executive, or just helping at our fundraising events.
